1. Begin by going to green or blue spaces. Take your time to collect any stones, sticks, leaves, and/or shells that you like.
  2. Bring the natural elements that you’ve collected to a space where you can feel at peace. This can be a cozy corner of your home or on a blanket at the beach.
  3. Arrange your yarn, fabric, thread and needle where you can reach them with both hands.
  4. Start to playfully combine the natural element with the textiles. Make slow, deliberate gestures while really feeling the textures, weight, and temperatures of the objects. Make internal observations of the materials and how they feel in your hands as you progress.
  5. Pause at any time to admire your creation and bring your attention back to your breath.
